Voice is now an application that uses a data network. This transforms the way we must think about our voice systems. It opens the doors to new, flexible communications solutions which can better integrate with data and business processes. However, this change has two significant challenges. First, the integration of voice and data management teams is the single defining factor in VoIP success or failure. Second, these systems are no longer an overhead cost but are now expected to add revenue, improve efficiency and increase competitiveness.
